How to make a WhatsApp link
Pick your country and enter the number you use for WhatsApp.
Write the first message for your client, for example “Hi! I'd like to book a manicure”. That way you'll know right away why they're writing.
Copy the link or download the QR code and put them wherever clients look for you.
Where to put the link and QR code
- In your Instagram bio, in the Links field.
- In your Google Business Profile, where your website and social media links go.
- On your Facebook page, in your Linktree or on your website, as a “Message us on WhatsApp” button.

Frequently asked questions
What is a wa.me link?
It's WhatsApp's own short link: wa.me/ followed by the number in international format, without “+”, spaces or a leading zero. The link opens a chat with that number, and your text is already in the message field.
Is it free?
Yes. The generator is free, with no sign-up and no limits. The link and QR code work without us: they go straight to WhatsApp.
Can you see my number?
No. The link and QR code are created in your browser; your number and text are never sent to our server.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The link works the same way with regular WhatsApp and with WhatsApp Business.
Can I change the text later?
The text is part of the link and the QR code. To change it, make a new link and replace the old one. A QR code you've already printed will keep opening the chat with the old text.
What if the client doesn't have WhatsApp?
On a phone, a WhatsApp page opens and offers to install the app; on a computer, WhatsApp Web opens.
